WELCOME TO THE GARDEN (…OF FREE THINGS!)

In this Garden of Free Things I will continually post audio files, workbooks, and other fun stuff that might help you tend to the soil of your inner landscape… tools and seeds for the journey of mothering by restoring our instincts and intuition.

You are welcome to engage as you like, come back as I’ll put new stuff here at least once a season. If you prefer to get your information by video, you can subscribe to the Landscape of Mothers YouTube Channel.

And, if you enjoy what’s here and want more, I’ll invite you to sign up for my monthly-ish email newsletter. It’s designed as a beautiful, informal, chat between friends over coffee or tea on a slow weekend morning.

The Newsletter is also where I’ll post the latest on what I’m up to, what I’m reading, and how Landscape of Mothers is continuing to grow. Thank you for being in on the blooming of Landscape of Mothers. It really does mean so much to me!

COLORING BOOK

This is a pdf document of the drawings of the Mothers. I recommend printing on slightly heavier paper than normal if you will be using ink or paint. Regular printer paper should be fine for colored pencils.

If you would like to share your finished image on social media, please use the #landscapeofmothersart hashtag (and tag me on IG or FB!) so that I can see it.

POETRY OF THE MOTHERS

Short book of poetry inspired by Landscape of Mothers. Meant as mantras or simple references to the strengths of each Mother, they can be used as inspiration for the connection, reminders of what is true and possible, as well as focal points for walking meditation or nature observance practices.

INVOCATION OF MOTHERS

When we feel alone and adrift, one of the most comforting things is to feel like there are others going through this too. The Invocation of the Mothers is meant to gather the archetypal Mothers around you to energetically support your journey.

Podcast and Blog Interviews:

INTERVIEW WITH ELYSE SNIPES OF TRAILERCAST!

October 2021
This was such a great conversation I had with Elyse Snipes of the Trailercast Podcast! We had a lovely conversation about using archetypes to find our way through life and parenting. Specifically we covered Landscape of Mothers archetypes as a wheel, how that can help us find where we are and where we want to go. And… I even drop some info about the next layer of working with Landscape of Mothers… the triads (that will be in the next book!). Special story cameos include Wind Mother, Mountain Mother, and River Mother. We explore how the archetypes are related to one another in this map, and why that can help us when we’re overwhelmed or struggling in our daily lives. Thank you Elyse! This was such a nourishing conversation! It was lovely to spend this time with you.

INTERVIEW WITH AMANDA KRILL OF JUST BOLDLY GO!

March 2021
I got to talk about Landscape of Mothers with Amanda Krill on the Just Boldly Go Podcast! We chatted about how when we’re being bold, when we’re going after what we want, it’s great to have a framework to hold and guide us. One that lets us be who we are and follow our dreams, while helping us be steady as we go! (Hint: Landscape of Mothers is one of those support systems!) Thanks Amanda for such a great conversation!

INTERVIEW ON SIDEWALK TALK PODCAST WITH TRACI RUBLE

January 2021
I had a lovely conversation with Traci Ruble of Sidewalk Talk about Landscape of Mothers and the journey of working with our inner terrain for better relationships with ourselves and others. We address how unhelpful the ideas of “good” and “bad” mothers can be, how nature can be a resource when we’re looking for what kind of parents we want to be, and how mothering is so much more than raising children!

GUEST BLOG POST FOR COURTNEY HARRIS

December 2020
Part of Landscape of Mothers is the ability to partner with nature to take care of your nervous system and to receive personal guidance. When life feels like too much we tend to be more sensitive to stressors, and tension can build up in the body. Nature can be a restorative connection. I wrote a blog post for Courtney Harris Coaching about leaning into nature for support during hard times.

Check out the blog post here.

(Autumn Inquiry Fortune Teller + Instructions)

The other version is more of a classic Fortune Teller. In this one the Mothers offer guidance around each of their innate gifts.
